At PATH, we are a global team of innovators working to accelerate health equity so all people and communities can thrive. We advise and partner with public institutions, businesses, grassroots groups, and investors to solve the world’s most pressing health challenges.
PATH's digital and data works is founded on our belief that with the right information in the right hands, every country can accelerate progress towards health equity and the Sustainable Development Goals. We leverage data and digital innovations to improve the health information systems that provide actionable information needed for effective and efficient health care provision, management, and planning. PATH is at the forefront of the digital and data sector, supporting partners and countries in identifying, assembling, and adapting tools and approaches that best meet their needs.
Applying digital technologies to outbreak response.
In close partnership with PATH's Global Health Security experts, PATH works with countries to leverage and improve interconnected health systems across laboratories, health facilities, and emergency operations centers; improve surveillance data quality; and promote the use of data to effectively address outbreak threats.
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, PATH provides direct support to the National Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and built the first Mobile Emergency Operations Center. The EOCs are used to collect and generate epidemiological reports on outbreaks of Ebola, Measles, and COVID-19. PATH also supports digital and data interventions in Senegal, Vietnam, and Tanzania relating to national COVID-19 response. Through our Digital Square initiative, we support technology partners including DHIS2, SORMAS, and mHero to improve epidemic response and core software functionality.
